  • rear brakes...HELP

I am in the process of changing my rear drums, shoes and bearings. The problem is that when I assemble everything the drums would not go over the shoes. I pushed that adjuster in all the way and still can't get the drum over them. The shoes are set in right and lined up. I had this problem before...what could the problem be?

hmm, I had the exact same problem when doing my drums, I ended up using the old drums sadly. Talk to Sasquatch about this, I believe he has some tricks.

Pull the pin out on the brake cable lever to make sure the shoes are retracted.

yep, if i recall is a 'ratchet like' design... so you want to "reset" the ratchet if you have new ones...
