  • OK what did I miss??

I got the new clutch,pp,TOB and pilot bearing installed everything torqued and now everytime I depress the clutch I get loud scraping sound.. I have tried adjusting it in and out and it still scrapes..now I have to pull the engine again.. I installed a few clutch kits in my day but haven had this one yet..

Dam you really are celebrating by putting in a new clutch today , isn't the only thing that would make contact to cause that noise would be the pivot for the bearing , surely it's not the bearing on the input shaft, would the cable make that noise ?

And of all the people who venture in here, didn't you read my announcement on posting in here?as on which year, model and mods?
Gee some people, got the nerve!

Now that i am done bustin your chops:

Does the noise increase with engine speed?or does it do it when the engine is off?

I hope you found it "before" pulling the motor back out!

yeah, sure did.. if ya look at the pics I posted in the gallery forum you'll see why I exhausted every avenue before wrecking my new paint.. I got a few repairs done at the same time though.. I had snapped a bolt off in the head awhile back so I drilled and repaired that. The engine was making a weird wah wah wah sound.. Found out that it was the timing belt tensioneer bearing so I pulled one off 1 of the B3s I have laying around and all is good..
