okay so yesterday I spent a lot of time trying to make sure I did a decent job on the oil pan gasket. I think it went pretty well.
that thread is here: http://www.fordfestiva.com/forums/sh...light=oil+leak
here are some pics of the oil pan gasket today after about 12-15 miles of driving. not very much but a lot of stop and go, etc.
and it's dripping from that little finger of copper just enough to leave this spot and this is it, I guess...and I friggin parked in the one. lol.

my next inquiry is about the CV axle seals that everyone has issues with. I need to pull the speedo cable, check the level, add atf, etc. But I want a more permanent fix obviously compared to just filling up the tranny.
these seem to be good threads: http://www.fordfestiva.com/forums/sh...ght=axle+seals

so my questions I guess, is there anything else I can do about the oil pan?
and I'll need to get seals, a seal puller, use a 32 or bigger socket (I have some around that size with the impact set I got) to get the new seals in. Just follow MechDJ's tips in the one thread.
I'm showing part #99139 Redi-Sleeve's at advanced Right & Left 31.48 each. wow. As far as replacing these and still resulting with a leak...anything I can look at to tell if it'll wear it out again?
