Oil Pan Leak / CV Leak Seal replacement etc

EJP, do you think it's the LCA? or the ball joint allowing it to pull the CV out just enough to leak like eurotiva had going on?
or is it something for the "sleeve" that CharlieZ was talking about?

Lca and ball joint are one and the same on our cars

Needs LCA's anyway...
question: how much of a gap should be between the transmission itself (face of the seal) to the large inner CV piece?
If i recall, mine has always been between 1/8 and 3/16 of an inch... and also- my axle shafts are locking into the transmission like they should be...??

distance sounds right....make sure you have no play (up and down) in the axle where it goes into the tranny. I had an auto I just replaced because the play was egg shaping the seals in 2 to 3 days and letting leak all over. Took 3 times to figure it out.
