I also don't even trust them for an oil change. The idiot at Firestone broke my distributor cap on my GTI during an oil change. Don't ask me how. The Fastlane (Ford dealer) guy didn't put my oil filler cap back on.
I went to active green and ross, and they told me that I needed $1500 worth of work to keep driving it.. lol...

The thing is when you rotate the tie rod and the boot hasn't been cracked off so it can spin inside it tries to go back because its rubber! So even in the dark you should be able to tell something is not right.
