  • super super high idle wont idle down?

    Hey all

i just swapped a b6 mazda motor into my festiva running a b61k ecu, b6s7 maf and green top 323 injectors

the car started running good but then it started idling really high after taking it for a 20 min drive, and now the car idles high all the time

    what could this be?

i also have an 1988 mazda 323 intake manifold for refrence.

Have you checked the timing again?

percho which timing the crank timing or spark timing?

i dont have an rpm tach on this car but im geussing around 1500 rpm

and i tried moving the TPS around and it helped a bit but not much.

the car also has a tick comming from the top end of the motor, but did a compression test and did good numbers all the way across.

Did you try adjusting the set screw? I can't remember off hand how to do it.. maybe Fresh remembers. I had to adjust it down on one Aspire.

10000% sure.. cam timing is good spark timing is at 7-8 degrees.

im installing a tach tomo to confirm the high idle.

its almost time for a head/intake manifold swap

is there a difference between the green top injectors and these injectors?

im using a b6k1 ecu out of a 323 that had these exact injectors

just trying to figure out whats wrong with this thing

the car also has an abnoxious tick. im thinking about just swapping the head

this injector mystery is driving me absolutley nuts.

can you completley bypass/delete the iac? im going to try that to.

the IAC is a thermostatic valve that uses the coolent temp to actuate the valve (like hot a thermostat works in a car). check for coolent flow, and then check for vacuum leaks.
