It's fixed...for now.
My buddy pulled out the fuel pump and removed the years worth of clay-ish silt that was almost covering the sock. I guess some crap found it's way into the pump and jammed it. Damn you, Seafoam! That would explain the sparks and hot jumper wire when I tried to run it off the battery.
I guess the rain was just bad luck, and had nothing to do with the real problem. Had to happen sometime.
Next, tank removal! I might as well R2 the pump and sock while I'm there.
