  • Shifter Bushings - What size bolt?

So I've read that you can only replace 4 out of the 6 shifter bushings.

The remaining 2 you have to grind off a piece and replace it with a bolt.

My question is, what size bolt should I buy to replace the ground off piece?

I already ordered the 6 bushings thru NAPA, just need to pick up the bolt now.

    Thanks everyone!

M10 I'm guessing since the bushings are 10mm ID.

I'll just take the bushing with me and get a bolt that fits thru it easily.... what about length? How long should it be?

Shouldn't have to grind the bushings, but more of grinding the pin that goes thru 2 of the existing bushings to remove them. Then replace the ground off pin with a new bolt....

I just haven't gotten under the car to physically measure....... was hoping someone would know the size.

Here is a picture of the "shoulder" bolt you need. The shoulder is 1 7/8" long and has a 3/8" diameter. 1 mm = .040", 10 mm = .400",
            3/8" = .375"
