I'm trying to put new disc rotors on the Festiva. This job has given me fits from the very start.
My problem:
I have removed the pinch bolt from the knuckle side on the LCA to drop the LCA joint, have it popped loose with a seperator bar, but the stud will NOT come out of the hole!.
It is loose, I can pry down on the stabilizer/LCA, and the LCA pivot stud moves down almost an inch, but that is all. It will go no further. I can see the stud when I pry it down. It feels like something is stopping it from coming further, but there is nothing I see that would stop it. I have been prying with crow bars, pry bars to no avail. The stud will not come completely out of the hole.
What is causing this?
In all my searching, I saw no one mention this. I am working on it now.
Thanks in advance,
Dan
