  • festiva bogs and trouble starting warm

so i have had my festiva for a week or so and have fixed alot of lil things and now im stuck.
after i take a 15+ min drive and shut it off it will not start without the petal to the floor and cranking for a few seconds to a minutes and when it starts the petal still to the floor(or it stalls) it takes 30+ seconds to get above 2-3 hundred rps and then its unstoppable till it shuts off. i checked the fuel pump it has 32 psi of pressure and i sprayed starting fluid on the vacuum lines and no idle difference. it bogs pretty hard and is sluggish at times but i cannot figure it out.
    any ideas?
    thanks, Jesse

injectors sticking open? next time it happens, pull a few plugs and see if they're wet.

is there a way to check the injectors? i smell gas i didnt mention that but it has a new exhaust from the flex back with a new muffler it doesnt have a cat/converter on it. the check engine light will come on while im driving and go off usually less than a minute later sometimes misses after the light goes off. i went to a few shops around me and none have obd1 even autozone didnt. i also have a small gas tank leak that is only when i fill it completely up, the fuel pump pressure is 32 psi. it makes a rapid quiet tick tick sound under acceleration that if i just barely slip the clutch it goes away. this is all i have seen felt wrong maybe it pertains to it running how it does.
            thanks, jesse

Obd1 can be checked by grounding the test wire and watching the engine light in the dash flash the code. Im not positive, it's near the brake booster or wiper motor. Someone else will ring in here I'm sure

pull the plugs, they are your indicators.
