  • Temp gauge not hooked up will this work?

When the OP did the BP swap in my Festiva, he never hooked up the wire from the temp sending unit to whatever wire goes to the cluster gauge. I was wondering, if I hooked up a wire from the sending unit to the wire going into the cluster, will my temp gauge work?

It should..... isn't the stock temp sensor wire still intact? just re-use that wire instead of running a whole new one

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

yea, usually the plug just gets deteriorated and/or the wire breaks just before the plug. It can be soldered on to get an even more accurate reading if you can.

Theres a cut wire on the sending unit at the thermostat housing but I don't know where the rest of the wire is. I'll do a hard target search today and hope to find it.
