I've got a factory Ford shop manual I could look up the torque specs for you if you want. On the Honda thing, I drive a Honda everyday. Great cars, but lookin into makin them a little faster looks like its gonna cost waaaay more than makin a festiva run as good as if not better than most. Just my .0289 L, hopefully returning from the dead soon with a little more power...

Well i didnt swing at festivas until someone said somethin bout Hondas.... you guys do what u like to do.... These cars are my dads, i have only "Heard" of M/T Aspires and Festivas... ive NEVER seen one....
he has/had
a 1994 ford aspire A/T (Sold it to someone he knows...overheating problem still occurs)
now he has a 1989 Ford Festiva A/T (Cold A/C, Very VERY poor gas milage)
Selling/fixing a 1997 Ford Aspire A/T (All sorts of F'd up for no apparent reason)
and a 1990 Aspire A/T that i need to change the headgasket on and more...
As for CRX's being slow... someone must not know how to drive.. cause they get up and move.. my 87 with a toasted clutch would smoke my dads Aspire And leave my girlfriends 2000 Buick like if it was in reverse... With a Toasted clutch....
Idk where u guys find parts... must not be looking in the right place, or not talking to the right ppl...
I know, me posting here being a Honda forum member is like... Jumping across the street and hangin out where i dont belong, but me registering here wasnt for me, the information im looking up is to repair my dads car, so he can have a car that actually works and isnt ghetto rigged in Every possible way....

/e they didn't make spires in '90
There's all kinds of info around here about fixing these cars if you use the search button, it's kinda tricky till you get used to working the parameters. I would just find a b6 or better to swap for the motor with a blown head gasket so your dad can show you up with a faster car for cheaper! Who knows you might just fall in love with it yourself!
Also, sometimes amazon.com will have used manuals for a penny+s&h but the condition of the book is a gamble.
If you want to see a 5 speed aspire just click the link in my sig, I was averaging 43 mpg during the summer (stock with cold air intake) but I didn't bother to log it in my fuelly account.Last edited by zoom zoom; 11-09-2011, 12:14 PM.2008 Kia Rio- new beater

On ebay, type ford festiva. Check the "used" box, to weed out the chaff. There, you'll find plenty of manuals. Prices are usually pretty decent. If that is not your cup-of-tea, then spend some time on this AWESOME forum, and you just might stumble across the information that you need. Lots of very intelligent wrenchers here.
From your earlier post:
"you guys do realize you are driving a Korean/Japanese Car with AMERICAN Logos/emblems... just not my Taste.. if i was gonna go with a smaller car than my civic it would be a Swift GTi"
REALLY??? Wow, we did not know that <note sarcasm>

Can we start a vote for ban on this user? Seems like a typical honda modder to me.. Its not hard to use the search feature instead of coming here to start trouble like every street meet i go to where its 90% honda owners... Their are plenty of swap and interchangeable parts for these cars and cost half as much to make faster then a typical honda. And thanks to the honda crowd all the parts i want and need are waiting for me in the junk yard, cause i guess mazdas aren't cool in the import crowd...Last edited by takeone51; 11-09-2011, 09:25 PM.
