hey guys i need help asap i have to go for emissions an my check engine light is on i bought a aftermarket downstream o2 sensor for my aspire the wire colors are 2x white 1x grey 1x black... but the wires from my o2 sensor are 2x white 1x black 1x red.... which ones do i put together need help

Usually the black wire is the signal to the ecu and the white wires make a circuit for the heating element. that 4th one is to tell the ecu the heating element is working. Im not sure what happens if you reversed the 2 ecu leads.1993 GL 5 speed

which ones did you hook up already? I'd assume the 2 white wires go together respectively, they make a circuit so it probably doesn't matter which way they're hooked up, and the black is almost always ground, so the red would go to the gray wire? If that still throws a code, switch the wires around a bit until you figure it out....I'm sure there's a way to do it "right" with a voltage meter, but who really wants to waste time with all that. Usually you can get a pretty good idea of what goes where by looking at the part that came off, and the new part going back on...
