  • BP Festiva wont start

Hi. Got a 92 stiva with a 92 bp in it. I live in indiana. The other day it got down to like 0 degrees. I went out to start it and it barley cranked over. So i pushed it into the garage which is heated and let it thaw out for 2 days now. It cranks fine but wont start. I popped the coil wire off and there was no spark there so just change the coil then rite? just making sure before i pay 70 bucks for one. Anything else to check beside that? Do the bp Have a crank sensor that feeds it? Any help would be nice. THANKS!

Yeah, check the under hood fuse link panel on the drivers side strut tower. It will look like 3 loops of fabric coated wire. Make sure there still solid.

I bought the car and I'm almost positive that a wire I found goes from straight power to a little plug feeding the main relay. It has shorted and melted ALL the coating off the wire so I'll let you guys know what I figure out!!!

yep, shorted directly under the coolant resevoir bottle and actually melted ALL of the insulation off of a wire. never seen that before!
