I don't know what to do with this thing. The popping is getting worse and I can see where its been moving some. I have to drive this car everyday. Steering wheel shakes like crazy sometimes when braking and its not the rotors...its the rack shifting around.

I still need these bushings as well, if anyone has any info or can pass some along that would be great.

My car hates when I hit a huge bump I think I can feel the rack shift from the lack of bushings on the rack to firewall.

Not to mention it eats tires up bad!!!!

So are these bushings supposed to be extremely tight? I can get them around the rack fine, but the bracket doesn't want to go over it. Should I put soap or something on the bushing to get the bracket to slide on? Or try starting it with a longer bolt and finishing it with the original one?

You sure you got the correct bushings? The carb ones have 1 different bushing.

They're supposed to be the right ones. I believe the rack I put on it is an EFI one.

What bushings are you now using?

Supposed to be EFI ones I think. I got them from freshtiva.

The bracket HOLES might be slightly off, look at that maybe.Try just mounting the bracket onto the firewall without the rack or bushing.

The brackets are the original ones that came on the car. I can barely get them started over the bushings.

So do I need different brackets or are they all the same?

Well I'm thinking its the bracket? IDK what else it could be? But You do want the fit to be REALLY snug. But if you cant get the bolts to start by smacking the bracket with a rubber mallet something isnt right?
