  • Turn signals inop

After a failed attempt at wiring in a LED flasher, I heard a "pop". It actually sounded like the flasher was attempting to work. I then installed the oem flasher back in. I am sure the oem flasher is good.
I have no turn signals but the hazards function fine. I have checked the fuses under the dash. All are fine.
Is there another relay or something else to check?

are the turns the only thing that does not work? Do you have brake lights and running lights?

Check the relay under the dash. I believe it's a black relay

all lights are operating fine except the turn signals. Hazards even work. Going out now to check for a relay.

I can see a relay mounted with a screw to the kick panel in the same area as the flasher. It has about 8-10 wires. I does have a green w/red stripe wire the same as the flasher module. Is this the relay I need and what are my chances of getting one of these if it is?

Unplug it and plug it back in to see if that helps

Thanks for the help though. I give up for now. I will try to look into it more tomorrow. I have a 9 mile drive to work with only five turns if I take the back roads lol

Use a test light on the fuse, probably a problem right there.
when wiring in a flasher for LED you only need 2 of the 3 wires.
Remember to check with the key on..

Ok thanks. I will check the fuse box after work tomorrow. I didn't smell anything when it happened. Usually when I fry some wires I leave a stench of burnt plastic lol.
Which two wires do I need? There is a Green w/red, White w/red, and Black going into the green flasher relay. A TWO prong flasher will work?

It's working again! I unhooked the battery and fiddled with the relays under the dash. I connected the battery back up and they are working fine. Thanks for the help guys.
