Not sure where to post this. Like i posted before i found a festiva at a JY by post. The JY owner does not have the key and the back hatch is locked. Is there a way to get it open without destroying the lock or hatch. I want to get the washer fluid reservoir cap and pump but i do not want to destroy the hatch in the process

Use a panel removal tool and pop the rivets out of the back of the vinyl panel in the hatch, and you can get to everything very easily. In love with a MadScientist!:thumbright:

X2^^ A flat head will work just fine popping that rectangle vinyl panel on the hatch.Originally posted by DriverOne View PostUse a panel removal tool and pop the rivets out of the back of the vinyl panel in the hatch, and you can get to everything very easily.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The JY owner wants to keep the hatch intact, I'd say.Originally posted by pyrothehitman View Postdrill the lock out and buy or find a new lock set with the key.In love with a MadScientist!:thumbright:

I think you can see the lever from the inside. It's been a while but I believe there is enough gap between the hatch and body on the inside in the middle to flip the little lever with your finger.
