    Did you disconnect the battery to set the computer back to factory settings? It will then build up new settings based on your individual engine performance. If you didn't clear the settings, as pointed out it's probably using the settings that were built up with the old O2 sensor. It takes about 20 miles of driving to build up new settings. It may correct itself or maybe needs to be cleared. Might help. Can't hurt.

    just a update.this appears to have been my problem. after my second day of work 40 miles a day. idle is now back as it was. i didnt even have time to disconnect battery and reset ecu yet.

      are you talking about, for lack of better terminology, the little ufo thing? I would have no idea how to clean that. I cleaned the throttle body out today though, it was pretty clean.

        yeah, the UFO thing.... there's no cleaning it, just check for propper operation. with engine running, crank the throttle wide open and let it snap shut. you should see a little pushrod extend to catch the throttle arm and slow it down at the last second. its kinda hard to see happen unless you know what you're looking for.

          You can check it with the engine off too. Turn the throttle and watch for the pin to extend out. Let go of the throttle and it should slowly allow it to rest.
