Does anyone know where i can get a spacer or what the thickness is of the suspect missing spacer for the front wheel bearing ?

        the rotating torque should not increase more than 10 inch lbs from loose to tight
        for new bearings, no more than 8 inch lbs for used bearings.

        It should increase at least 5 inch lbs. This is an observation not a specification
        you can dial in your own preference.

        Rotating torque is an excellent way to verify that nothing went wrong
        using the factory method.

        edit: just saw above, there are many shims to fit your hub perfectly
        the best guess is to retrieve a remnant and mike it.

          I've never heard of rotating torque, would you mind going in a little more detail. Gonna google it now anyways but I always like other peoples interpretation.

            So theres a variable size differance in this spacer ? How the heck do i determine how big a spacer is needed ? Trust me theres no spacer in my car this is ,my issue any clue if local stores carry this spacer ? Specfic name ? Or jost wheel bearing spacer

              When the knuckle is first installed at the factory, they measure it and then install one of 22 (IIRC) different-sized spacers to get just the right fit for the bearings. Sounds like the installer before you left it out.

                    You are working on a hub.
                    Spindles are on the rear.

                        Make sure you keep the Hub with the preload spacer. The spacer is matched to the hub.

                          ok, one: how on gods green earth does one install a bearing backward!!??
                          and two: the spacer is matched to the KNUCKLE, not the hub. the hub has no machining spec other than the OD that should be a ~.003" interferance fit to the bearing ID.

                            Your best bet since there was no spacer would be to get another whole knuckle/hub assembly.

                              agreed, I think he may want to locate a T87C-1104-B, Spacer Selection Tool and find out which one it needs. Then head to a MAZDA dealer and have the parts counter look them up for an 89 323 perhaps.
