Hey guys! I have an 88 with a stock feedback carb I am cleaning but I can't figure out how the fasteners that hold the choke thermostat ( as it's labeled in my carb kit guide ) work, anybody with experience know what I'm talking about and can point me in the right direction?

You need a fine tipped rivet gun to install
you need a drill to release the top cap.
you need a roll pin punch that same
diameter to drive out the shaft.
If you do not have the rivet tool
you may be able to borrow for
free from the parts store that
you got your kit, both AZ and
Oreillys do this. You can chuck
the rivets and use self tapping screws.Reflex paint by Langeman...Lifted...Tow Rig

Heres pics, and new question.....the black piece in the second picture, my kit has two new gaskets for it..one on each side I assume, and looking closely it appears two have two old gaskets glued/burned on and they are super hard to remove. It says its a phenolic block so I am worried about hurting it, should I bother soaking/cutting them off with a razor etc and install the new ones or just plop it back in as is to avoid damage?
