CV Joint repair questions

I am about to Change my CV axles the car is clicking pretty bad when i make turns, and i wanted to know while i have them out, is there anything else that i should just go ahead and replace?

just the seals in the tranny. How you going to change them?

My plan was to go to the Auto repair shop on bliss and do it, all the tools i would need and a lift for 5 dollars an hour.

no....not difficult. Was just trying to save you some time. There are numerous ways to do it....but the easiest I have found with removing the least parts is this....

and the seal I am talking about is the one that the axle passes through as it goes into the tranny.

there is no way the needed seal costs 40 dollars a piece though....

on the advanceauto website, it shows transmission output shaft seal for 37 a piece

I've seen that posted before....but I have yet to get 2 different seals when I have bought them for myself. Rock Auto only list one part number as does the Advanced Auto site.

Don't forget to put a basin under the transmission end of the axle to catch the transmission fluid which pours out when the axle is removed. Photos don't show replacing transmission fluid. Ask if you need info on that.

Very true...lol...I took them while I was just pulling the engine and tranny for the turbo swap.
