If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

You are on the right track. The computer shuts the injectors off until it is happy
with the RPM, then turns the fuel on again. If it is rough when you slow the idle
it may have something else wrong too.Reflex paint by Langeman...Lifted...Tow Rig

stop.
can you still lift up on the pedal and the idle hunt stops? if so, you have to clean your throttle or adjust you TPS so that with the throttle plate closed, the ECU sees the idle signal from the TPS (TPS is a 3 position switch for the ECU: idle, run and WOT, and idle is a sensitive position and has to be set with a feeler gauge).
Clean the throttle first!! any debris that leaves the plate hang open can cause the TPS to be moved out of the idle position and cause hunting idle.Trees aren't kind to me...

ok did the MMO thing and helped a little. it sounded good this morning but tomorrow is another day. the only way for it to sound best is put TPS screw all the way left and higher the idle screw adjustment has high idle sounds a little better and still get 40mph so i guess i will deal until i get my RPM gauge in. thanks for all the help.;
