This afternoon I am going to begin the process of swapping the interior and transmission of my '88LX into my '91L
This is the first time I've done any swaps between carb'd and EFI Festivas, and I understand there are some slight differences in the wiring and bolt holes. Here's a list of questions I have:
What size socket do you need to get the nuts off the front hubs?
Will the power mirrors from the 88 wire up to the 91's wiring harness, or
are the connectors different? If so, how do you overcome this obstacle?
I understand that all the bolt holes are there for manual seatbelts in the '91, except for the hole for the screw that the retractor hangs off of. Is this correct or do I need to do some more mods?
Do the switches on the dash from the '88 plug directly into the '91's harness? I remember someone saying they were different but I'm not sure.
That's all I can think of for now! I'm sure I'll have more questions as the swap progresses.
