Ford shocks on Aspire

I'm stealing an Aspire's front shocks so I'm trying install back the festy shock onto the Aspire.

Little problem here:



Anyone can enlighten me as to where to go from here?

Take the nuts and bolts off first!

Pry bar? If you disconnect the lower control arm or tie rod end or both the wheel is easier to wiggle into position.

You can buy replacement brake hose clips to attach the brake hose to the strut.

Also a hammer and cold chisel or similar can be used to knock off the rust scale.
Then paint a pretty colour.

Metal: welcome to the roughest place on earth for any car. I'm just fixing it to make it rolling again and sell it for 300-400 bucks. what I originally paid for.

mine right!!? yea I'm pretty constructive. If it were me, I'd chip the scale off everything, media blast it with some walnut shells, then hit it with some semi flat black primer/sealer, and stick it back in place...but only after you remove and replace those nasty looking nuts and bolts! That would definately be where i went from there. Other than that, I don't even see a problem..?


wedge a 4-5' pipe above your sway bar (from the front) under your lca mounting point and pry it down to make those holes line up.
