DIy clutch tool

I need to install a clutch today, but have no tool to line it up.

Ant recommendations for a diy fix?

I used a 3/8 drive 10mm socket. Wrap the drive end with tape so it fits snug in the disk. The tapered part will center itself in the pilot bearing. Good Luck!

I usually eye it up.... Or I'll take the primary gear shaft from a spare trans haha

I've got a collection of those! Anytime I replace a broken trans that I'll be scrapping I always cut the primary shaft off to keep as an alignment tool

If you really want the alignment tool, they come with AZ clutch kits. Buy it, use the tool, return it.

Otherwise, I've used literally anything that was close to fitting.

Take a piece of broom handle and grind to fit.

That is something that should be stocked on shelf!

Here we have Oreilly auto parts. Order by phone WITHOUT paying by 9 am, part will be in store by 10 am. After 9 am will get it by 1 pm

Oreilly has the alignment tools hanging in the help section all the time.
