  • Driveaxle locknut size! Help!

Hey! I need to know what the driveaxle locknut size is. I'm doing the CV axle, and replacing the lower control arm in the morning, and I have no idea what size socket I need for the big lock nut. Please help quick!

I am pretty sure it is a 29mm iirc. Let's see if anyone else has some input.

factory is 29mm, some aftermarket units come with 30mm nuts. a 6pt 30mm socket will remove either.

guys... these are asian cars... that means metric sizes. (not saying 1-1/8" isn't 30mm, it is, "but proper tools for the job" should be advocated here).

I used a 30mm and it was a little loose, but did the job...

Strangely enough there are some 'standard' sockets that fit equally well on 'metric' bolts, especially for the larger ones. "Run what ya brung" is quite fitting (so to speak) when you're on a budget, and they don't strip the heads.
