  • Pulls! (Left with throttle, right when off)

Ugh... I got the last issue fixed, and now it's time to face the next one:

When I'm driving, when I have my foot in the throttle, the car pulls to the left. (Almost like it's rearing up. Feels like the rear right is dropping and the left front is going up) When I left off the gas, it pulls to the right. (Feels like it's dropping back down from the before described throttle) It's a little bit scary. I've replaced the LCA's, and I'm probably doing my outer tie rod ends tonight. (Hoping this might fix it?)

Anybody have any ideas what might cause this?

Check front suspension rubber bushings and especially the motor mounts.

sway bar bushings. Check where the sway bar goes through the LCA and make sure they are tight.

VERY good idea! Come to think of it, it started doing it AFTER I replace the right side LCA.

Anything loose in your front end could cause this. Check the control arm to body mounting points. Make sure that is properly torqued and that the nut on the inside is not spinning.

I think I did them "pretty tight" Can they be "too tight"? or should I just tighten them, til they can't be tightened any more.

It's not the nut, it's the bushings that are shot and compressed.

Should have loosened the sway bar bushings at the front when replacing the control arms. If not try loosening and retightening. If so check that they were retightened. As suggested also check for deterioration and deformation of the rubber.

Do you still have one short and one long cv shafts. Because if you do you might have torque steer. I have it on my car and I put on new lower control arms and new energy suspension sway bar bushings and my car is better but still shifts left and right depending on throttle.

he has movement when he lets off and gives it the gas.....usually sway bar or lca movement.

You just have to much power on take off giving you torque steer....lol

Problem solved. When I replaced the LCA's, I used the old cotter pin on the passenger side. Well... I guess it came out. The not on the sway bar, was on the 2nd to last thread! Tightened up, NEW cotter pin, and checked the other side which was fine, but I put a new cotter pin in it just for good measure. MUCH better!
