Crankshaft Angle Sensor (CAS) or Crankshaft Positon Sensor (CPS)

Hey guys,
Not sure if the festiva calls it's crankshaft sensor a CPS or CAS.


Does anyone know any technical details of how the unit on the festiva works? Connector pinouts?

I'm building a digital tachometer and want to use the existing CPS signal.

The position sensor is in the distributor. Don't know how it works. There is an RPM test connector by the coil to hook a tach. I think it works by ign pulses.
