  • Height piston is at TDC?????

Does anyone know how far from the top of the block the top of the piston is at top dead center? I went to the junkyard yesterday to pull a cylinder head and tried to turn the motor over manually so I could get a measurement but I wasn't able to rotate the crank.

If someone has a motor out of the car w/the head off could you try to turn the motor over and get a measurement for me? It doesn't have to be EXTREMELY accurate, if you use a ruler and can get with in either 1mm or 1/16 inch that would be fine.

    Thanks

Sweet, thanks a ton. When I was at the junkyard I measured the deposit buildup that went around the top of each cylinder and subtracted the combustion height of the piston and came up with about 1.1 mm which is ~ 0.0433". I wanted to make sure that was accurate and it looks like it is.

      THANKS!!!!
