Nut size

Oh what a great title! But really, does any one know nut size of rear spindle I sesrched it couldnt find it.

Can't say off-hand but it shouldn't be on too tight in the first place (namely a pipe wrench or big adjustable will work) and it is one of those curious sizes for which an Amer Standard size will also fit reasonably well.

Now don't you be forgetting that the passenger side is reverse-threaded.

If your nuts have been bashed to keep them from spinning around
just turn them in the proper direction it will not hurt the spindle
it is much harder that the nuts.

Just thought about this , some of the younger guys may have
cotter-pins in their nuts, those kind should just spin off
no real effort needed.

Weird that nobody answered your question, but it should be a 29mm or a 30mm. (Wait... Was that the front one?) If you don't want to purchase this socket, you can rent one from Autozone, basically you pay for it, but you can take it back after you use it.

Ouch! Later models (93s (younger guys!)) and probably even Aspires use a cotter pin and castle nut-type arrangement instead of a stake nut. It's easy enough to swap over and drilling a hole through the spindle is not a big deal. Personally I hate stake nuts.

Oh THAT! I believe it is 20mm x 1.5

The nuts are different colours (silver, bronze) so you can tell which goes on which side. I took a spare pair off a wreck.
