So by your description of the "ECO robot" it sounds like you are talking about the idle air control valve. You will need to do a little adjusting to of your idle if you remove that. But if you are ditching all that stuff, I would assume you could theoretically put the VAF on top of the valve cover pointing straight into the intake. Don't know how well it would perform in that configuration, but it will run, I've done it a couple of times when working on swaps and I didn't have the proper intake piping. Never drove them like that, but they will at least run.

What is an eco robot?
Here's mine from a while ago. No CELs.
Oh, I was also running no TPS, and no IAC.

The VAF has room for more performance and it can be moved where ever you want, just keep it close to right side up.
My red car runs fine without all that stuff and does not throw codes or lights. If I run to thick of engine oil it will idle slow when cold. I didn't do it on purpose, but a hydrogen-oxygen backfire completely removed the intake parts including that stuff. I was rather stunned..not a recommended procedure!

What can be stripped ?
I am trying to fix my cracked intake (93 Fuel injected) and was wondering if I can remove the two tubes on the driver side of the plastic tube going into the throttle body? One tube goes to the valve cover, I figure I can just pop a breather on it. The other tube goes to the robotic contraption behind the engine, I assume it is some sort of eco regulated robot add on.
Can I remove the eco robot feeder tube?
Can I remove the whole damn robot?
Will it throw the check engine lite on?
Is there an upgrade to the MAF?
Any problem with moving the MAF closer to the TB?
Thanks!
P.S. By fix, I totally intend on straight piping to the MAFTags: None
