The connection might have been broke because I was a bit rough with it.
The clicks - what exactly am I supposed to hear?"Today, no American family can be secure against the danger that one of its children may decide to become an artist"

Clicks are of the relays mechanically connecting a circuit for your headlights. The headlight switch on the stalk is a low current switch that makes an electromagnetic field in the relay. When the coil is energized, it makes a click by pulling the arm inside the relay to make contact with the output terminal.
Basically, it's a quiet click (that you probably won't hear over a running engine). You can roll down your window and turn the switch. It should be audible by the driver's side fender.-Zack
