Does anyone know if the speedo gear in a 4 speed manual will work in a 5 speed? Just for clarification I am referring to the one in the transmission, not the one connected to the cable. Thanks, Robert

I have been assured for quite some time that the tranny speedo gear of an ATX, 4 or 5 speed Festy, plus that of a MTX Aspire, are one and the same. ATX Aspire is not, and I can confirm that. I personally did a Festy ATX to MTX speedo gear swap a few years ago without any problem.

Your refering to the one attached to the differential not the speedo cable, correct.1988 Festiva w/ Rear seat removed and hatch area turned into dog cage, window tint, 1100w audio system, stock Carbed B3
