Cracked block

I just put a bunch into this engine and am looking for a block but I'm broke, so short of another engine what repairs can I do to it?

I was thinking JB weld but my dad's coworker said it would burn off and to use high temp plastic epoxy

bubble gum, if you pay my boys to install it I GURANTEE it won't come off!

I'd try the JB first, if it fails try the epoxy lol.. I've used JB weld on exhausts before, just don't know how well it would stick to the block.

If you go for the JB, make sure that block is spotless where you use it.

If you know a good local welder or diesel mechanic they can stitch weld the block. This is a common fix for Cummins 53 model blocks. Not as cheap buy if it hold up on diesels then it should on a festy

^ no... not as such. welding would require high nickle wire and a BUTT load of pre heating

Once upon a time people would drill and tap numerous times with the next hole slightly overlapping the
previously drilled and tapped hole. A small NPT (1/8" which is probably not at your hardware store) size
might work...each one would be drilled, tapped, plug inserted, ground flush and on to the next one. If it
leaked any block sealer would fix it.......
