Fuel pump not getting electricity?

Today my car festy died on the way home. My initial thought was that the fuel pump had gone out. After trying a different mass air flow sensor and fuel pump in it and testing the ones that were in it on another Festiva I can safely say that the fuel pump and sensor are in working order. So now I'm trying to figure out what to check next.

The fuel pump is working in the other festy but is not sending any fuel when I have it in mine.

The relay? it's black and yellow, On my protege it was down behind the center console with the ecu.

You didn't test by adding fuel?? Or checking for spark?

It has 3 quarters of a tank and is getting plenty of spark. I have had 3 different fuel pumps in it and the one i had in it before is confirmed working.

also test relay under hood by radiator overflow and battery i had that go bad and i got no fuel.

Have you tried resetting the Inertia switch behind the driver side rear panel in the hatch??

I tested that with a working one and still nothing.

never heard of it. I'll check into it and report back.

there is no spark going to the coil, so I tested the positive/negative and the positive on the electrical input isn't getting power. Not sure what's causing it..

In the end it was a bad coil... so much for trusting someone else to verify no spark in the middle of the day in full sun. thanks for the suggestions anyways lol. Now i'll know steps 1-5 if it happens again : /
