Since the a/c system I bought from dab440 is the rare a/c system from a Festiva that also had power steering, it didn't have a need for a idler pulley.
So my question is, if all the idler pulley does is get rid of the slack in the belt, couldn't I just find a smaller belt that just wraps around the crank, and a/c compressor?
Or does the idler make it much more simple to get the belt on, and off?
Or is there no belt small enough to do that?
Just wondering if anyone else ran an a/c system without an idler pulley or power steering system?
