I noticed in your dash picture, you have the hole for a manual choke, just above your fuse box. Buy a carb with a manual choke.Last edited by bravekozak; 08-02-2013, 07:48 PM.

Nothing is a direct bolt on to the B3 intake. You have two choices. Add an adapter or change the intake manifold. Anything to get rid of the original feedback carb is an improvement.Last edited by bravekozak; 08-02-2013, 08:43 PM.

Which also brings up notion that I think the Redline Weber adapter for that 1980 Mazda GLC front drive should work on the Festiva. I cant say it would definitely as I made my own adapter plates, the $60 or whatever they were asking for the GLC adapter plates seemed bit salty. Here is link to one ebay listing: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Weber-Carbur...60488030093%26 Anybody purchasing this needs to determine for himself first, maybe ask for a tracing of the gasket from seller. I cant say definitely of my own knowledge that this would work. It looks right, but always possibility its off a bit....
Also this is only for standard Weber DGV/DGEV/DGAV carb and the Holley 5200/5210 clone carbs. The Escort carbs have bolt pattern same width, but are shorter lengthwise. You would need to drill and tap new holes in adapter maybe if using Escort carb????
Also somebody posting long ago on forum using Escort carb just went to somebody that could weld aluminum and had the manifold itself modified so it could directly take an Escort carb. If you can get such a welder to do this cheaper than buying adapter, then thats way to go.
And as previous poster stated, the feedback carb is not that hard to rebuild mechanically, its all the vacuum hoses and other gizmos that makes it a pain. When its working right, the feedback carb is fine and is peppy and good gas mileage and all that. Its not a bad carb, just some engineer didnt know when to leave well enough alone and added all the crap.
Looking at that very oily air filter, deja vu all over again. Owner of that has engine pushing oil into air cleaner. BLOWBY! This is common problem on carb Festies. I had a good running 1.3L that I replaced because of this. Later found people posting that there are passages in the valve cover that if properly cleaned do away with this problem. If not then adding a catch can works too. But so did putting a low mile Mazda 323 B6 carb engine into Festiva......Last edited by Banana Bonanza; 08-03-2013, 11:59 AM.

Banana, if what you say is correct, then this Holley should fit directly. There's already one offer on July 23rd that was declined. Offer $100.Last edited by bravekozak; 08-03-2013, 04:44 PM.

The seller of that carb is confusing a Holley branded rebuilt carb with an actual Holley carb or Weber carb built under license by Holley. That looks like a Japanese designed carb. I would guess Hitachi or Asian brand. But it definitely doesnt have the bolt pattern of Festiva.
Notice I said a HITACHI carb from a 1980 FRONT WHEEL DRIVE Mazda GLC Mizer. These were first front drive Mazdas imported into USA. At that time most GLC's were REAR WHEEL DRIVE. Carbs off rear drive Mazdas had the rectangular "normal" looking pattern. I would guess this ebay carb is carb off a rear drive GLC. It most certainly isnt the bolt pattern used on a Festiva. Look at that adapter kit I gave link to. It has the weird shape and bolt pattern of the Festiva. IT IS NOT A SQUARE PATTERN like Weber or Holley Weber or most rear drive Japanese carburetors.
If you dont know what a Festiva manifold hole and bolt pattern looks like, then first thing is to remove your current carb and get familiar with it.
