You sure cam timing is correct ? I know I've mist a tooth before and gotten crappy results .
But I can't see how you guys say its slow when you can't see how hard he is pushing the gas or road conditions or heck the icu is so dark ya can't see it half the time .New build on the way .

I can try to shoot a better video but the timing is fine I have checked it about ten times. I keep and eye on it to see if it gets off any.;

you don't have a lower timing belt cover on? it's really hard to see that mark on the crank cog with the cover on...cover has to be on to put the car in time, or at least part of it. Did you cut it like I do?2008 Kia Rio- new beater

^im with these guys^ double check cam timing. my B6T ran fine but was terribly slow with the intake and exhaust cams out by a few teeth each... i picked up over a full second in the 1/4mile(15.4 to a 14.3) by aligning the cams to the crank properly.
and take that filter off your valve cover and run a hose to your intakebetween your vaf and your TB. thats alot of unmetered air(a massive vacuum leak)Last edited by fastivaB6TG25MR; 08-13-2013, 08:19 PM.I know its a piece of crap but im still faster...and its 100% legal!!!!!

is that a serious question?
the V/C is attached to the intake via the PCV valve. the PCV valve allows air to be sucked in to the intake from the valve cover. that filter is allowing air that is not accounted for by tha VAF(aka unmetered air) to enter the intake. why do you think stock cars with any type of air metering device have the valve cover connected behind said metering device? if it was a MAP system it would not matter because MAP calculates pressure and not flow.Last edited by fastivaB6TG25MR; 08-13-2013, 08:46 PM.I know its a piece of crap but im still faster...and its 100% legal!!!!!

Have you verified the TDC alignment of the crank timing gear by topping out the #1 piston? (Remove #1 spark plug, insert chopstick, rotate engine until the piston tops out).
I ask because my B3 has a knarly keyway between the crankshaft and timing gear - it causes about 20° of error. IE, when the marks on the cam gears are aligned properly at their TDC positions, the crank is actually advanced by 20°.
Check it out, especially since the engine is new to you...
BTW, I just found a video which shows what I'm tlaking about:

I am so glad i can be a ginnie pig for all these not to do issues lol. If people read my threads they should go wrong by not doing what i have done. LOL!!;
