First of all, if you did something and immediately got a bad result, suspect what you just did. I have to make some assumptions here: (1)you're talking about an 88 Festiva (2) when you got pulled over, it was actually for a *TAILLIGHT* bulb. The taillight/brakelight bulb should be an 1157 two element bulb. The 1156 is a one element bulb. The contacts are probably making wrong connections to give feedback in your lighting circuits that should not be there, because something sure is.

It's on an aspire. i say this cause he said the little running lights in his headlights. those lights are wired to the park lights, which would explain why when you changed the rear, those come on. i'd check for corrosion in the bulb socket in the back. my aspire i used to have did this same thing and it was just a bad connection back there. good luck

Well I found out its the rear driver side causing the issue cause when I changed back to the more expensive bulb is stops the problem up from an yes I'm talkin about the aspire

Junk bulb shorting out. if they got messy with the wire inside it could cause that. i had a fog light bulb blow my fuse once because of that. napa gladly gave me a new bulb and fuse. lol.
