Hello Everyone,
After multiple comments to a previous post I had, I have opted to keep my Festiva and not replace it with an Aspire. In order for me to do that, I have to figure out my wheel bearings issue. Over the past couple of years, I have run through multiple sets of wheel bearings. Each time, I have taken my car to a mechanic and had them replaced, only to find the bearings are bad again within 10-20k. I have attempted a few different mechanics with no good luck . I'm slightly mechanically inclined, but I don't have to tools or experience necessary to tackle the wheel bearings alone. Currently, I have a loud humming noise coming from the passenger side rear of my car, and I'm sure its the bearings again. These bearings were installed in Dec of 2012 and have roughly 20,000 miles on them. I'm convinced that either the shop isn't installing them correctly, or there is something else wrong with my car that is causing this issue. hmmmmmm
What I'm asking is this: Is there anyone located within the Southeast Michigan/Metro Detroit area who has some experience with Festivas who might be willing to help me out? I am more than willing to pay for your time - I just want to get my Festiva running right! I drive 100 miles a day for work and would hate to loose my gas-saver. If so, please PM me and I'll provide you with my cell num. Any help is greatly appreciated! Currently, I think its just the rear passenger bearing that is at fault, but I also have some warped routers that need some attention if at all possible.
Please help! I am located bout 45 miles northeast of Detroit. If you can help me out, I would be forever greatful!!!!
Thanks everyone - I'm glad to be part of this group as it seems everyone is willing to help everyone! :highly_amused: If there's anything I can do to help someone, please let me know!!!
