I took the air cleaner off, found the shaft that connects to the secondary shaft. I fired up the car, immediately shot up to about 2500-3000 rpm. I grabbed my needle nose and started twisting and wiggling that shaft, the rpms did drop a little, probably down to 1500-2000. Now the car was cold and I did not give it time to warm up, I did not know if it could be on normal fast idle because I just started it. Because it did drop some when messing with that shaft, do you think that it is probably the issue? I do not have any carb cleaner, I will have to pick some up on the way home from work in the morning, I drive truck all night. I am guessing tomorrow I should just start it, wiggle that shaft and spray the heck out of that little area on the drivers side where that shaft goes into side of carb? Thanks again for all the help guys, especially Festy46!
