The flush is your first and best place to start, but the dual stage t-stat is the only way to go. I mean really, $5 at rock auto, but $5 shipping or buy the correct t-stat (192 degree) and it will run you $9 at most local stores. I am not an engineer. However, my Father-In-Law was running a single stage t-stat and never had any heat to speak of, changed it to the two-stage and bam. Heat all day.. Living in the upper mid-west, heat is a nice component to driving in sub zero winters
