They are the same price at my local parts store. So yes its def worth it for me.

No offense, but I couldn't disagree with you more. I do need and want the dual stage.

      Thanks Guys for the Info.
The flush will help, cleaning the switch wont. As a couple people have already said your heat exchanger is probably 25 years old and covered in gook. Thus you arent getting the AIR Flow past the fins. Its like putting a piece of cardboard in front of your radiator. The only fix if this is the cause, is remove the obstruction. Its a bit of a job,but nothing a Marine cant handle

The flush is your first and best place to start, but the dual stage t-stat is the only way to go. I mean really, $5 at rock auto, but $5 shipping or buy the correct t-stat (192 degree) and it will run you $9 at most local stores. I am not an engineer. However, my Father-In-Law was running a single stage t-stat and never had any heat to speak of, changed it to the two-stage and bam. Heat all day.. Living in the upper mid-west, heat is a nice component to driving in sub zero winters

Isn't it ironic we both live in WI and have had the same experience's Couldn't melt the ice off my window after the car would sit warming up forever.Installed the dual stage's and HOT HEAT! So far Ive had four B3 powered cars that had the single stage and had to change them out in the winter.
