People take front strut assemblies off 2000-2001 or so Kia Rio's, the ones with two top bolts (other models have 3 bolts and won't fit a Festiva). I think they have to shim the top with large washers. I removed a pair from a Rio at the junk yard last summer to keep on hand as spares but have not tried installing them yet.

The Festiva, Aspire, and Rio, all have the same "style" struts. All will bolt up. The difference is in the stiffness of the springs and valving of the struts.

More or less, festy being the weakest, aspire a little stiffer, and the rio the stiffest. If you put rio's on an aspire, it may raise the front a little as they are stiffer. You can cut a coil from the spring if it sits higher in front.
IMO though I would look for good junkyard or new aspire struts if you want to stay stock.

I have aspire stuts on my festy I found in a JY and its been 4 yrs still going strong. I needed a little lift as I have bigger tires/wheels and the "wrong" offset! Ha Ha! .... i.e. my tires stick out past the fenders!!!!

I am curious as to how BOTH your springs got broken! That is not a usual or common issue

Would you have any pics of the springs/struts?

I have seen springs broken on the front of aspires but never a festy spring. I would prolly just swap to rio's bc theyre newer and probably support about the same weight

I have a set of festiva ones if you want them just come pick them up in roselle. They will probably lower the car though.

Festiva springs are not really strong enough for the heavier Aspire. I dont think they are really heavy enough for the Festy! Soft and spongy, especially old springs.
