Hey guys,
I've got the valve cover, rocker arms, thrust plate, distributor and fuel pump off, but I can't seem to get the camshaft to move to the right to slide it out.
It will rotate somewhat freely, but it binds when i try to tap it out.
I have a feeling that the 'valleys' in the middle of the cam's bearing surfaces (like the one where the thrust plate rides) may have worn matching lands into the head's bearing surfaces - and that is what I'm hitting up against. Sound plausible?
How do I get the old cam out? Hit it harder?
Thanks!
