        That cylinder wall looks fine........is that really bad place on the piston where the gasket was blown ? [was it blown?] I have one with 250k on it .

          The gasket actually looked fine around that cylinder there was some leakage in the front driver side... I have seen blown rings and cracked pistons but never a chunk out like that one...

            That kinda looks like the piston out of my 80K motor that backfired after it sat for several yrs. and yours does look worse for sure.
            I was there when this one was started and backfired. I'm surprised it ran for 10K as it had 70K on it when it was started and backfired.

              Thanks for the extra pictures the Festy looks good, by the way did anybody notice the Gold rims.
              An idea can turn to dust or magic, depending on the talent that rubs against it.
