OK, depend on what want to do next.
we need to see what was done to the rear beam when the aspire backing plate/spindle/drum were attached.
To do this the four bolts behind the backing plate need to be removed.
So that the spindle/backing plate/drum can be removed as a single unit.
Unfortunately that means the emergency break connector and the hydraulic line will need to be disconnected as well.
Is this your only car?

You have the tire and drum, but do you have the backing plate for the Festiva drum?

Does anyone know if we can keep the Aspire spindle and just replace the backing plate and drum and get him back to the Festiva brake and wheel configuration?
This would save him having to find a spindle.

I'd wait till you can get a backing plate to do anything else.
You can't use the Aspire backing plate, it is different from the Festiva in size.
And we if we can keep the current spindle you have, this would save you some money.
We have made progress today!

Yes, JY is only know source, or place a WTB in the For Sale section.
In JY it will be hard to remove, because the rear strut bolt occludes one of the nuts that have to be removed to pull off the backing plate.
The lower strut bolt is usually very hard to remove as it in many cases has seized to the strut bushing.
However it can be done without removing the strut bolt but it is very tedious and requires patience and the use of much PB Blaster penetrating oil.
Look at the back of you plate and you will see the 4 nuts that need to be removed.
Does this make sense?

Have you practiced getting to that bolt behind the strut?
You have a plan?
See if the Spindle is good, and not too expensive, as we do not know if we can use the current Aspire spindle you have mounted.

Was the spindle any good?
And how much did they want for it?
