that Ps me off. the diagram clearly indicates the spindles should've been included. i wonder if 4G is tampering. not a bad deal considering the plates are unobtainium but would've been a steal with the spindles. thanks for your confidence in ordering but i still feel i've mislead people. notice these don't have that little scraper tang sticking off the side of the plate? hmm.

They are unrecogognizable because they are new.
I don't believe we have seen an unviolated Festiva drum before.
Amazing. You can lick it and not get sick.
F3, spindle is not included. No blue number on the schematic.
No tampering. One of the boxes was completely unopened (looked like the factory KIA tape) and the other box had been opened and retaped, but that was because they put in a few small things I ordered as well... such as the trim piece around my door lock rods (got tired of the rattling), washer nozzle, fuel door spring, elbow coolant bypass hose and a door pin switch. You know, those small things that would be cost prohibitive to buy on their own due to shipping from Korea...
Like I said yeah the spindles would have been nice but in all honesty I wasn't planning on using the new spindles anyway (if they were included). I've already got mine drilled and my spindle nuts "castled" anyway. I used to eat up rear wheel bearing like crazy before I added the cotter pins. Seems like I was always having to re-torque them and I had nightmares of coming to a stop to see one of my rear wheels passing me in the other lane! Anyway now I can just reinstall the nut to the same place, throw the cotter pin in and not have to worry about it.

Last time I checked one of my "scraper tangs" had rusted off completely and the other one was just barely hanging in there! HA!

ya i see the logic but still somewhat deceptive. OK i'll take 87% of the blame and will buy them back as promised. BTW, i've noticed 2 styles of backing plates on the various festivas i've serviced. a few had a slush ring tacked to the plate like this one. (ignore the aspire plate on left) for an extra barrier against road crap. most didn't though.

My original backing plates had that extra ring on there. They were pretty much rusted out so I just took off what was left on there.
OK ...as the originator of this post....finally got my festi L back today. I had got some used plates from another person in this forum. Mechanic tells me after its all back together that my rear passenger side rear axle is fairly rusted and it may not last too long...thoughts..?
Is he talking about the spindle/stub axle, or the more common rust area that holds the entire rear beam on? If it's just the spindle, go junking and get another. If it's the passenger side beam support, you're going to need to find a welder pretty soon.
