    ^^^Video of what's happening. Here's what I did today:

Put in TWO QUARTS of oil. Lost in last 1.5k miles and have had to do this once before. Slowly replacing gaskets as I have time.

New alternator (first one went out 6mo ago, replaced with my only spare that had a bad bearing, today put on brand new)
    Put on trailer wiring
Rejetted carb down (main) ONE SIZE, from 105 to 100. I know I know 100 seems small, but the 105 and 110 I had kept acting like it was flooding.

I got my fresh repairs done, smoothed out the idle using vacuum gauge and adjusting timing a bit, and it was running beautifully. I mean, no lag in acceleration, which I've had between the alternator and the carb. I got about 2 miles down the road, everything bogged down, and I barely got back to the storage unit to switch cars.

To get back I seriously retarded the timing and turned the idle way up. I drove back at 11MPH in 3rd as I couldn't get it to stay running/accelerate. I blew out the fuel filter, I checked the alternator, I even took the belt off and started it without the alt and it does the same thing. It sounds bad.

    Help?

    -Joe

It's almost as though your choke is closing up.

But why would the choke activate 2 miles into driving?

Just searched auto choke stuck sound and it does sound close.. but I can't even get the car to move. Usually with the choke fully closed, I can stick it in first and not touch the gas.

Sounds like a fueling issue for sure.

Welp, I worked late (11AM instead of getting off at 8AM sigh), had 2 hours of sleep.. so slept all day. Just went over and worked on it a bit. It's not the choke, it was open when I got there. Fiddled with it still and unplugged power from it just in case. No change there.

Dunno what I did, but the IDLE sounds good now (still can't move the car easily). Weird tidbit: I can fully turn the A/F screw in and it doesn't die. I think it's spitting in too much fuel looking down the throat of the carb. But alas the storage unit I work in doesn't allow people after 8-8:30, so I'll be back on it at 7AM tomorrow.

I'll report back in the morning. Thanks guys.

            Pro tip: Don't tune a 1.3 as a 5.0.

Evidently didn't get my jet in as tight as I thought and it reversed itself out (was laying in the fuel bowl). It was dumping gas like crazy.
            So yerp. I'm an idiot.

            Thanks.
