Pedro, are you using a cell phone that only types in caps? If you can use lowercase, please do so. All caps is considered rude.

Do you have a carby or FI motor? Knowing that might help with diagnosis. Assuming it's not a stuck parking brake.

Tire pressure from 34 to 40 won't make much difference.

THAT IS A LOT OF GAS FOR SUCH A SMALL ENGINE TO BURN IN SUCH A SMALL DISTANCE, ESPECIALLY IF IT IS NOT LEAKING. CHECK THE EXHAUST TO SEE IF IT IS BLOWING OUT. YOUR CAT IS PROBABLY SHOT BY NOW TOO.

I WONDER IF MAYBE SOMEONE IS STEALING IT. I HAVE SEEN OTHERS WITH SIMILAR ISSUES ONLY TO FIND OUT A NEIGHBOR WAS A THIEF. AND EVEN THEN THEY WEREN'T USING THAT MUCH.

A suddenly non-functional O2 sensor will make quite a difference on fuel economy. So too will a blocked Cat although in that case it will also drive like a slug.

The O2 would not make nearly as much difference as he is experiencing. He would just go into limp-home mode, which is poor mileage but not to his extreme. And the cat would not just get blocked all of a sudden; he had good mileage up until recently.

I used to have a gen1 MR2, which got 25 MPG hwy with a severely blocked cat. You could only see a pinhole of light when you held it up to the sun! When I replaced it, mileage went up to 35.

Are you sure it's a carb motor? 93 should be fuel injected, not sure about Australia.

Are you seeing your check engine light coming on at all? Does the exhaust smell of gas when it's running? What color is the smoke on startup? Does it keep smoking while the vehicle is running? Does your oil smell like gas?

Unless something mechanical is wrong, and of course assuming you have a couple hundred just begging to be spent, a simpler carb setup would probably be my move.

Do you have strict emmisions testing?

Edit: how far roughly are you actually driving in a day?

Edit2: anyone have a picture of vacuum lines for an Australian 93 model?

He is claiming 0.59 miles per gallon. No smell of gas anywhere, oil is good, etc. I don't think it would even be possible for a b3 carb to even use spray that much even at FULL capacity.

Yeah...I'm curious where, physically, that much gasoline (petrol) could even go on a b3. Unless it's running richer than the royal family and he's going WOT everywhere...And if it was running that rich, wouldn't you be able to see the the red-hot glow of the cat at night from burning all those hydrocarbons? Keep us updated, Pedro, I'm sure a lot of people are interested as to what's wrong

Yes I'm from Australia and it's carby 93. No engine light at all. Haven't spelt the exhaust yet. It's blue smoke on startup. Only keeps smoking untill warmed up. AND YES MY OIL DOES SMELL LIKE PETROL/GAS what does that mean? Cheers NITROFARM yes I have done a visual inspection of spark plugs I actually just cleaned them. No not really don't have strict emissions testing. About 3000 to 5000 kms. Will keep use posted thanks everyone

How would I check for a sticky float??
